Yandex Tracker is a project and task management tool developed by Yandex. It is designed for teamwork and helps organize planning and task control processes. Yandex Tracker is suitable for small teams and large companies. It is used in various projects, including IT development, marketing, product management and other areas that involve teamwork.
Project management is taught in the course “Internet Marketer”. Students learn from scratch to create marketing strategies, recruit teams for projects, manage processes, use analytics services and more. For a team of five people, Yandex Tracker is free. If there are more employees, the cost of access for each will start from 400 rubles. For large companies, a discount is provided – 360 rubles per employee, provided that more than 251 people register.

Registration in Yandex Tracker
To register in Yandex Tracker, go to the website and click the “Register” button. If you have an account in Yandex Cloud, click “Log in to Tracker”. If you are using Yandex cloud services for the first time, you will need the organization’s TIN, Yandex email, and bank card number to register.
Further registration in Yandex Tracker will be the same for both new users and Yandex Cloud users. We will talk about registration from an account in Yandex Cloud. To do this, click the “Log in to Tracker” button.
When you go to Yandex Cloud, the service will display a template selection. For example, we will select a basic template – this is a simple task board for small teams. To do this, click on it, then click the “Continue” button. If the board is needed for several teams or advanced features are required, there are other templates:
1. Project Management — a board for multiple teams to work on.
2. Development — a task board with a backlog and sprints, where you can plan sprints, estimate tasks, and control the task progress.
3. Support — a simple task board with advanced features for the support service. For example, it provides statuses and resolutions (resolved — not resolved).

Setting up and using Yandex Tracker
When the template is selected and registration is completed, the service will display the queue window. Assign a department name, the system will generate the key automatically. Then click the “Continue” button.
Now you need to set up access. Choose who can view the boards: all employees or only those performing tasks. Then send email invitations to everyone who has access. Click “Continue”. After that, your Tracker personal account will open.
Working with tasks and projects
To start working, click the “Create task” button in the left corner. The task panel will open. In it, you can edit the task, assign it a name, description, deadline, priority, tags, responsible persons, observers, attach images and files, etc.

For example, let’s fill out a test task. We’ll set the author and the responsible person, assign a tag, attach a file, and specify a deadline. Then we’ll click the “Create task” button.
You can attach a task to a project, but you need to create it first. To do this, click the “Projects” button on the left. When the sidebar opens, click “Create” – “Project”.

There is a separate window for the project. It contains editing tools. The project, like the task, needs to be given a name, description, and, if necessary, files, tasks, and participants can be attached. This is what the project window looks like:
To create a task link with a project, let’s create a test project and attach the already created task to it. Fill in the required fields, then click the “Task List” – “Add Task” – “Existing” button in the top panel, write the task tag and click on it. In this way, you can attach any number of tasks to the project. They will be located in the “Task List” tab.

Integration with other services and tools
You can add other Yandex services to Yandex Tracker. For example, we made a test project from Yandex Cloud, tasks could be created in Yandex Forms and linked to projects. To add services to Yandex Tracker, click the “Services” button in the left panel. A list of Yandex services will open. They are divided into ten columns:
1) Infrastructure and network;
2) Containers;
3) Serverless computing;
4) Resource monitoring and management;
5) Business tools;
6) Data platform;
7) Developer tools;
8) Security;
9) AI Studio;
10) Marketplace.
Select the desired service, click on it and follow the instructions. After integration, to find the tool, you need to go to the same “All services” tab, find it in the list and click on it.
