Different types of forms

In Yandex Forms, you can create a form from scratch or use templates: a feedback form, a questionnaire, an application, an event registration form. Templates are suitable for almost all typical tasks. Let’s talk about them in more detail.

●  A feedback form is a tool that allows users to leave comments, questions, suggestions or complaints. In Yandex Forms, the feedback window is divided into five fields:

1. Subject of your request — contains the question, answers and settings. The question can be placed as text, image and add a clarifying comment. Answers can be collected as a comment, question, error message, request for new functionality or your own version. In the settings, you can specify the request indicator, set a hidden or mandatory question, sort answers alphabetically or randomly, filter answers when entering text in the field.

2. Message — contains a question and settings. You can add text, an image, and a comment to the question. The settings include a question indicator, a hidden and mandatory question, and a character limit in the answer.

3. Attach file — contains the question and file settings. In the settings, you can specify the question indicator, mandatory and hidden question, size and number of files.

4. Your name — contains a question, settings, and validation. In the settings, among other things, you can add a hint. Validation can be set if you need to check the answer format. If the format is incorrect, the system will not allow it. Several methods are available in the form: validation of fractional numbers, INN, Cyrillic characters, through regular expressions — or without validation.

5. Your email – contains the question and settings with an identifier, a required question and a hidden question.

●  A questionnaire is a tool for collecting information about users. In Yandex Forms, the questionnaire is divided into six fields: your gender, how old you are, whether you study or work, how much free time you have, what you do in your free time, your answer option. Each question contains four fields to fill in:

1. Question — you can write text, add an image and a comment.

2. Answer — you can write text options and add an image to each of them.

3. Appearance — you can specify the image type: tile, in one row, stars.

4. In the settings — identifier, mandatory and hidden answer, alphabetical or random sorting.

In your answer option, you can additionally add a hint and validation type.

●  An application is a form that a user can use to submit a request for a service, product or information. For example, on the Gosuslugi website, you can fill out an application to receive a certificate, on an online store website, a form for purchasing goods. In Yandex Forms, an application includes six fields to fill out:

1. Name — contains fields for question, settings, and validation.

2. Phone — contains question and settings.

3. Mail — question and settings.

4. Date of visit — question, comment, answers with date ranges, settings.

5. Reason for contact — question, comment, and settings.

6. Acceptance of terms of personal data processing — question and settings.

●  Event registration is a form that a user can use to register for a webinar, presentation, training, book tickets to a concert, etc. In the Yandex Forms template, event registration consists of four fields: first name, last name, email, and phone number. The form contains the same tools as in the application.
